COLLECTION
There is a food collection on the first Sunday of every month as well as special collections throughout the year (Lent and Advent). The food collected is used to supplement the Sunshine Cathedral Food Sharing Ministry. Our Loaves and Fishes team of dedicated volunteers will meet the donors and accept their food donations in the alley between the Lawrence/Lewis Center for Worship and the Arts and the Social Hall area.
MEAL PREP & DISTRIBUTION
Brown Bag lunches are pre-packed and ready-to-eat lunch meals that include non-perishable items such as meats, fruit or applesauce cup, snacks, water. Brown Bag lunches are available to anyone – no questions asked.
The bags are assembled every Wednesday morning by a team of dedicated volunteers and then distributed around the community to locations and organizations that will provide them to their clients. We also keep Brown Bag lunches on hand at Sunshine Cathedral for distribution to anyone who stops by throughout the week.
