What Do We Do?
The Sunshine Cathedral Foundation supports the mission and vision of the Sunshine Cathedral and its current and future capital, building, and property needs.
How Do We Do It?
We ensure a safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing physical campus at Sunshine Cathedral Square as well as a functional virtual space for our Global Fellowship for the continued ministries, service, and mission of the Sunshine Cathedral.
We facilitate stewardship for our Pillars Society members – planned legacy bequests and endowments as a part of future estate planning — and our Ambassadors Club members who underwrite the Foundation’s on-going, recurring operating expenses.
We support large capital and facility needs by ensuring a continued, long-term source of capital for existing, projected, and unanticipated needs.
We are advocates and ambassadors and promote the Foundation through a unified and coordinated message that reflects the mission, ministry and programs of the Sunshine Cathedral and the mission and objectives of the Sunshine Cathedral Foundation.
Who Are We?
The Foundation and the Cathedral work cooperatively to improve and maintain the campus and its facilities and to administer Capital Campaigns and to receive and administer gifts and bequests. We share this campus with diverse organizations that represent many facets of our community, including a Food-Sharing Ministry, several performing arts groups and organizations, numerous 12-step Recovery Programs, and programs operated by Sunshine Social Services (SunServe), including Youth Programs, and an Adult Day Care.
The Foundation is a 501 c (3) not-for-profit organization governed by a Board of Governors which is comprised of dedicated individuals who are Cathedral members and/or LGBT community supporters.

The Sunshine Cathedral 50th Anniversary Capital Make-Over Campaign!
October 2021 marked the 50th Anniversary year of the Sunshine Cathedral! In commemoration of this milestone and looking to the future and another 50 or more years of service to our community, the Sunshine Cathedral Foundation Board of Governors, in cooperation with the Sunshine Cathedral Board, has launched the Sunshine Cathedral 50th Anniversary Capital “Make-Over” Campaign to invest in and upgrade many areas of our infrastructure to enable our programs and ministry for years to come.
