The Rev. Kevin Tisdol
Minister of Education
The Rev. Kevin Tisdol serves as Minitser of Education at Sunshine Cathedral. Tisdol is a retired senior executive from MTA New York City Transit. In his ministry capacity, Rev. Kevin, in support of the church’s vision and mission, offers his understanding of his faith walk and how that perspective can be helpful to others as they navigate their own journey.
With an undergraduate degree in Organizational Management from Manhattan College and a Master of Arts degree in Pastoral Ministries from St. Thomas University, Rev. Kevin coordinates the activities of Sunshine Cathedral’s Samaritan Institute, an accredited institute authorized to grant undergraduate and post-graduate degrees in theological studies. Rev. Kevin is also serves as the cathedral’s Director of Volunteer Ministries where he is responsible for ensuring that the cathedral’s volunteer ministers have the tools they need to serve our diverse community. Along with Deacon Dr. Ed Huckemeyer, Rev. Kevin conducts monthly services at two Assisted Living Facilities where they bring Sunshine Cathedral’s message of God’s unconditional love to the residents of those facilities. Rev. Kevin is also the administrator for the Divine Science Federation International whose teachings are “based the principal of God as limitless Being.”
Rev. Kevin and his husband of 37+ years, Michael Mitchell, live in Oakland Park, FL with their dog, Alex.
