Easter Greetings from the Canon Theologian

Happy Easter! One of my favorite parts about this day aren’t the baskets, bonnets, or jellybeans (though those all are amazing), but the fact that many people across the ages have marked this day since its inception. One such person was St. John Chrysostom. He preached a sermon in 400AD that we still have recorded today. St. Chrysostom preached, “Hell took a body, and discovered God. It took earth and encountered Heaven.” Easter should give you the courage to be yourself, the faith to love others in abundance, and the grace to know that no matter what you believe, God is both with you and for you. That’s more than we could ever ask for.
