“There is good for me and I ought to have it.” Emma Curtis Hopkins
Much religious teaching has, unfortunately, been about making each of us feel that we are innately evil and not deserving of good in our lives. We think that if we want good things in our lives we are somehow being selfish. No wonder so many of us live our lives lacking the abundance that Jesus claimed that he came to bring us. If, instead, we begin to believe that we are worthy and valuable people, deserving of abundance and real happiness, we can experience life to the fullest. Part of the process is to let go of the thought of “lack” and to choose to see only the value and blessings in our lives from now on.
Today I know that I deserve good, and I give thanks for all that I have in my life.
