Rev. Robert W. Lee Speaks at Sunshine Cathedral

Sunshine Cathedral welcomes a special guest speaker Robert W. Lee IV, a collateral descendent of Robert E. Lee.

Rev. Lee is a graduate of Duke Divinity School and is a doctoral student at the Pacific School of Religion. He is an ordained Baptist minister, was a pastoral intern at a United Methodist Church, and pastored a United Church of Christ congregation.

Lee is a descendant of Robert S. Lee, a confederate soldier and early Alabama State Legislator and judge.
Rev. Lee is an activist who challenges white people in the United States to take seriously the problem of racism and the deadly legacy of slavery. He was a very public supporter of the removal of confederate public statues.

He is a mental health advocate and an LGBTQ+ ally.
