Sunshine Cathedral is an ongoing partner of The Global Justice Institute. This collaboration is spearheaded by the Reverend Dr. Robert Griffin, who has been an active member of our community for many years and serves as one of our Executive Minister.
Rev. Dr. Griffin has been instrumental in the work of the Global Justice Institute, advocating for the rights of LGBTQI individuals around the world. Through his leadership, Sunshine Cathedral has partnered with the Global Justice Institute to support vital projects in Guyana, Eastern Europe, and East Africa, providing refuge and resources for LGBTQI individuals facing persecution and discrimination.
At Sunshine Cathedral, we believe in the power of inclusive love and the importance of creating a just and equitable world for all people. Rev. Dr. Griffin’s work with the Global Justice Institute is a reflection of this belief and a testament to his commitment to social justice and human rights.

Sunshine Cathedral is The World’s Largest Progressive Queer Church with both a local and global congregation of over 30,000. Celebrating 51 years, the Church is physically located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We are a progressive spiritual community with deep roots in Christian worship as well as the Gay Rights movement. While Jesus is our primary faith symbol we are non-dogmatic and are open to the truths expressed in various religions, philosophies, poetry, art, and science.
