Healing Rays

“All living beings have the capacity to become [Enlightened]. The essential nature of living beings is the [Enlightened] nature.” Lotus Sutra

In Buddhism, the enlightened nature is called “Buddha Nature”. Buddhists follow the teachings of the Buddha and reflect on him as a way of awakening their own sacred reality. Similarly, Christians follow the teachings of “the Christ” (Jesus) and reflect on him as a way of awakening their Christ Nature.

Sunday, November 23^rd, is “Reign of Christ” Sunday. It is followed by Thanksgiving Day (in the U.S.) and then by the season of Advent. That will lead us to Christmas and then to the possibilities of a new year. As we enter into our autumn and winter celebrations, we will do so joyously and we will invite others to join us as we celebrate our wholeness, our amazing potential, our sacred value. We want all people to believe in their true nature, because it is that true nature that is made in the divine image. It is that true, essential, Christ Nature that is the source of endless hope, peace, and joy. Not only do we want to access those divine gifts in our own lives, but we want to share them with as many people as possible.
